This sci-fi documentary essay follows the imagined footsteps of a fictional Soviet writer who, in the 1960s, visited a newly built planned city in the Dutch provinces—intended to serve as the prototype for her first science fiction novel. Her speculative vision intertwines with the contemporary reality of the city, revealing the deep transformations in community life, ecological balance, and the fading promise of modernist utopias.

Through a poetic blend of fiction and documentary, filmmaker A. Pirozenko explores themes of alienation and non-belonging, asking: What effect do pre-planned structures have on human life?
